Arrietty is the product of years of careful planning, an extensively thought out pairing, and so very much love & effort. While singletons are notoriously difficult on account of not having siblings to learn valuable communication & bite inhibition from, it was truly a gift to have the opportunity to pour every ounce of time & attention into this sassy, springy, silly puppy that is such a significant piece of my heart. 

As Harmeni's first bred-by, Etty has some big shoes to fill, but she is more than ready to conquer whatever we throw her way and then some. She is truly a presence to behold, and believes the world spins just for her. She is the most driven dog in our program for food, toys, play, and praise - I can simply raise my eyebrows at her in a way that so much as hints that I might be about to engage with her, and she's already leaping to head height or finding me a toy to demand I start tugging.

She has experienced some pretty intense fear periods, but maturity is proving a wonderful thing, as it so often does, and she is growing up into a great little dog with a solid head on her shoulders. She loves her people, though trends more insecure than I would prefer when it comes to over the top, in your face kind of dogs. She is very attached to me - though doesn't struggle with separation anxieties at all - and has had a natural affinity for offleash manners since early puppyhood since we had the luxury of focusing solely on her. She is sharp as a tack and picks up new behaviors within a single session. 

Etty is the most affectionate of the hounds when it comes to the other dogs - we will often find her thoroughly cleaning out their ears or flopping down next to them for a snuggle. She's also incredibly snuggly with her people, and will happily stay glued to your hip on the couch all day, content for as long as she can keep touching you. She hit the nail on the head with the structural improvements I was hoping to see from the pairing (improved front assembly & width), even in the throes of awkward teenage adolescense. She has consistently been complimented by judges at Specialty shows for her gorgeous movement. She is an easy keeper, not at all picky with food, and maintains impressive muscling with entirely no effort on our behalf.
